Pentathlon Sign Up

The Celina Pentathlon is scheduled for Saturday June 23. If you would like to swim in this event, please let Coach Hannah know as well as turn in $5 to her.

There is a $5 fee for swimmers to enter the Pentathlon. The Barracudas will gladly pay the $5 fee. Once you show up for the event on June 23, you will get your $5 back. In previous years there were a number of swimmers telling us that they would be there, we paid their entry fee, then there were several no shows.

Bottom line is if you want to swim in the Pentathlon:

  • Give Coach Hannah $5 by the end of practice on Friday June 15
  • You will get your $5 back after the Pentathlon is over provided you show up to swim

Pentathlon Participants

Below is a communique from Celina regarding the Pentathlion:

Pentathlon Participants:

A team had a couple questions about workers on Saturday. First of all, the

morning session will be from 10:00- approximately noon, and the afternoon

session will be approximately from 12:30-2:30. There will be a break for

lunch. The other question was how many workers we still need. I am waiting

to hear back from 7 Celina parents who aren’t signed up to work yet. All of

the other parents are signed up to work, and some are working multiple jobs.

I don’t want other teams to feel that we are asking them to work so our

parents don’t have to! That is not the case; we just have a small team this

year.

AM Session – we need 2 stroke judges, 1 turn judge, 8 timers, heat winner

prizes, and a backup timer.

PM Session- we need 2 stroke judges, 2 turn judges, 2 10 and under helpers,

14 timers, a back-up timer, and 4 concession workers.

That is WITH all but 7 parents signed up. I know it’s a ton.

Please let me know ASAP if you have people who are willing to work.

By the way, there will be no bull pen this year, so please tell your parents

to help get the 10 and unders lined up. There will be helpers at each end to

tell the kids which heat and lane to swim in.

Thank you to those who have already offered.
